CTM bus schedules and fares for popular Morocco routes
Compare the main CTM bus routes used by travellers in Morocco. Journey times and fare ranges help with planning; choose your travel date in the booking form above for available departures.
Station labels follow the current CTM booking inventory. Search the directory, then use the terminal name and map pin in your booking confirmation as the final source for your service.
Agadir
Arrival point: Agadir CTM Bus Station; Named in the current CTM inventory; confirm the service-specific map pin in your booking confirmation.
Map pin: Open the booking confirmation to verify the exact service-specific arrival point.
Check whether your final stay is in central Agadir, the marina, Taghazout, Tamraght or near the airport.
Arrival point: Casablanca CTM Bus Station; The inventory also lists multiple Casablanca-area departure points; follow the terminal and map pin on your ticket.
Map pin: Open the booking confirmation to verify the exact service-specific arrival point.
Casablanca has several transport hubs, so match the ticket to your onward train, hotel or airport plan.
Arrival point: Eljadida CTM Bus Station; Named in the current CTM inventory under “Eljadida”; confirm the service-specific map pin in your booking confirmation.
Map pin: Open the booking confirmation to verify the exact service-specific arrival point.
Leave the coach stop with enough time for the onward taxi to the medina or coast.
Arrival point: Ifran Bus Station; The inventory labels this point “Ifran Bus Station”; confirm the service-specific map pin in your booking confirmation.
Map pin: Open the booking confirmation to verify the exact service-specific arrival point.
Confirm the map pin before setting off for this upland destination, especially in cold weather.
Arrival point: Kenitra service point; The current inventory includes Kenitra but does not expose a named terminal here; confirm the exact arrival map pin.
Map pin: Open the booking confirmation to verify the exact service-specific arrival point.
Leave time for the final city transfer if Kenitra is only one stop in a rail-and-coach itinerary.
Arrival point: Gare Routiere Rabat; The current inventory lists Gare Routiere Rabat and Rabat Bus Station; follow the terminal and map pin on your ticket.
Map pin: Open the booking confirmation to verify the exact service-specific arrival point.
Check whether your next journey leaves from Rabat’s rail network, centre or a different transport hub.
Arrival point: Taghazout arrival point; This is an arrival-context entry rather than a named CTM terminal; confirm the exact stop and final local connection.
Map pin: Open the booking confirmation to verify the exact service-specific arrival point.
Taghazout is not interchangeable with Agadir, Tamraght or the airport, so check the final local leg.
Arrival point: Tangier Med port arrival point; This is a port arrival context, not a named CTM city terminal; confirm whether your booking ends at the port or in Tangier city.
Map pin: Open the booking confirmation to verify the exact service-specific arrival point.
Do not assume Tangier Med is the same as Tangier city; plan the port transfer from the confirmed terminal.

Practical route advice
Popular CTM routes
Each card links route context to a live search rather than a fixed fare or timetable.
CTM’s coastal connection from Marrakech begins close to the railway station.
Marrakech → Essaouira
For many visitors, this is the simplest way to reach Essaouira without renting a car. CTM is useful after arriving in Marrakech by rail. The coach station is not inside the old town, so allow time for a taxi after arrival.
This connects the city with the coast. Agadir’s coach stop is not a beach-hotel transfer; plan the final taxi or local connection if you are staying in Taghazout, Tamraght, the marina area or farther south.
There is no train to Chefchaouen, so a bus or private transfer is normally required. Choose a departure that gives you enough time to settle into your riad after arriving in the Rif.
The bus is the sensible public-transport connection between Fes and Chefchaouen. Book ahead when your accommodation is fixed; late arrivals can mean climbing uphill with luggage.
There is no direct train to Essaouira. Look at the exact departure location in Casablanca and leave extra time if you are coming from Mohammed V Airport, Casa Voyageurs, the Medina or the corniche.
The journey crosses the High Atlas and is a road gateway for Aït Benhaddou, Skoura, the Dades Valley and desert itineraries. Confirm your next pickup town before booking.
This follows the Atlantic coastal road and is useful for travellers moving between southern Morocco’s coastal stops without a car. Arrange a short taxi ride if you are staying outside the centre.
Use the live search for the date you intend to travel and confirm how your onward desert itinerary connects from Zagora. Leave room for the final transfer.
The coach links two northern stops that may sit on different parts of your itinerary. Follow the pickup address on the ticket rather than relying on a generic station search.
Check Fes to Tangier buses ↗Casablanca–Tetouan is a northbound road connection; confirm the exact arrival point.
Casablanca → Tetouan
Check the precise pickup point in Casablanca and allow time for the final transfer from Tetouan’s arrival point.
A coach journey is easier to plan when the boarding point, road leg and arrival transfer are treated as one itinerary.
Marrakech to Essaouira
Board near Marrakech railway station after a train arrival, then allow for a short taxi from Essaouira’s coach stop to the medina.
Marrakech to Agadir
Use the coach for the inland-to-coast leg, then check whether your final stop is Agadir, the marina, Taghazout, Tamraght or the airport.
Tangier to Chefchaouen
There is no train station in Chefchaouen. Leave enough time after the Rif arrival for the taxi drop-off and uphill walk to the riad.
Fes to Chefchaouen
Read the exact Fes departure point and avoid treating the coach as a door-to-door transfer into Chefchaouen’s pedestrian lanes.
Marrakech to Ouarzazate
The coach is a road gateway to the High Atlas and Ouarzazate. Confirm whether Aït Benhaddou, Skoura or a desert tour collects elsewhere.
Agadir to Essaouira
Plan the Atlantic intercity leg separately from the final taxi to a medina, surf stay or property outside Essaouira’s centre.
A CTM coach on an intercity route in Morocco. Boarding point and arrival plans matter as much as the city pair.
Published operator rule
CTM luggage: the part to plan before departure
CTM’s published terms allow up to two checked bags in the hold. Each bag must not exceed 20 kg, and the total of height, width and depth must not exceed 170 cm. Checked baggage is paid separately, and the service is bought at an agency when purchasing the ticket or up to 30 minutes before departure.
Oversized or heavier items may be accepted only with an additional charge and available luggage-space capacity. The traveller receives payment proof and baggage labels, which should remain with the luggage process until collection.
Hand luggage has a separate published size limit of 40 × 50 × 16 cm. Keep your passport, medication, camera, money and other essentials with you rather than placing them in the hold.
At CTM stations, checked luggage is handled separately before boarding.
Protect the next ticket
Do not book a tight connection
A coach can be on time and still be the wrong choice for a tight connection. Morocco’s city traffic, station location, luggage check-in and the distance between transport hubs all matter.
01
Landing at Casablanca Airport
Do not assume an airport arrival connects neatly with a city coach departure. Immigration, baggage reclaim, airport transport and Casablanca traffic can all affect the journey. If the next ticket is important, leave a generous buffer or plan an overnight in the city.
02
Changing from train to CTM in Marrakech
The train and CTM boarding area are conveniently close, but convenience is not the same as an instant connection. Collect your bags, find the correct boarding point and arrive early if luggage goes in the hold.
03
Continuing to a desert tour
A bus ticket to Ouarzazate or Zagora is not a guarantee that you will reach a camp or tour meeting point at the same time. Confirm the exact collection town, meeting location and latest acceptable arrival time before booking the coach.
CTM’s terms state that, for a connection affected by delay, onward travel is subject to available seats. CTM also excludes responsibility for consequential costs such as missed airport, rail, hotel or taxi arrangements.
Ticket conditions
Your ticket is for one departure, not a flexible travel pass
A CTM ticket is valid only for the route, date and departure time printed on it. Keep it with you throughout the journey: CTM states it can be requested while boarding, on board or when leaving the coach.
If you selected a seat during booking, use the seat number shown on the ticket. For children, CTM’s published terms state that a child under four may travel free only when held on an adult’s lap; from age four, the full fare applies.
A change is possible only when requested at least 12 hours before departure and subject to availability. CTM Flex allows two eligible changes free of charge; without Flex, CTM lists a 10 MAD charge per change. Refund conditions are different and apply only to eligible Flex tickets.
The coach stop is outside the medina. A short onward taxi can be easier with luggage.
Chefchaouen
Many riads are reached through uphill pedestrian lanes. Plan the taxi drop-off and final walk.
Agadir
The city coach stop, beach hotels, Taghazout, Tamraght and Agadir Airport are separate destinations.
Ouarzazate
Confirm if your accommodation or tour collects from the CTM arrival point, not merely “Ouarzazate.”
Zagora
Confirm the pickup time and exact meeting point for desert accommodation before leaving Marrakech.
Casablanca
Check the exact transport hub. The airport, Casa Voyageurs, central hotels and coach boarding points are not interchangeable.
Useful before departure
The night before your CTM journey
Open your ticket and read the exact departure address.
Check the map route from your hotel, riad, airport or train station.
Arrive at least 15 minutes early without checked luggage, or 30 minutes early with bags.
Keep passports, cash, medication and electronics with you.
Keep the luggage receipt until you collect your suitcase.
Plan the final transfer after arrival, especially in coastal resorts, medinas and desert towns.
Decision guide
CTM bus or train in Morocco?
Train
Choose the train when both cities are on Morocco’s rail network and you want a straightforward city-centre journey.
Coach
Choose CTM when the train does not go where you need it to go, including Essaouira, Chefchaouen, Ouarzazate and Zagora.
Both
Some itineraries work best as train to Marrakech or Fes, then CTM for the road-connected leg.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is CTMtickets.com the official CTM website?
No. CTMtickets.com is an independent travel booking and information website. It helps travellers search available services and continue to a secure booking partner to complete their reservation.
Can I buy a CTM ticket online?
Yes. Search your route, date and passenger details to see available options and continue to book online.
How early should I arrive for a CTM bus?
Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure without hold luggage, or 30 minutes before departure when checking a bag.
Does CTM go to Chefchaouen?
Yes. Use the live search for your chosen date and confirm the exact arrival point before arranging the final taxi or riad walk.
Can I change a CTM ticket?
Yes. Request an eligible change at least 12 hours before departure when space is available.
Yes. CTM’s published terms state that checked luggage is a paid service. It can be purchased at a CTM agency when buying the ticket or up to 30 minutes before departure.
Do not arrive with a large suitcase assuming it is automatically included in the passenger ticket. Leave enough time for the luggage desk, payment proof and baggage labels before boarding.
What do I receive after checking a suitcase with CTM?
You receive proof of the baggage payment and labels for the checked luggage. Keep the receipt until you have collected the suitcase at your destination.
Do not place passports, medication, money, electronics or anything needed on arrival in the luggage hold. Keep those items with you on the coach.
CTM allows eligible ticket changes to the date, departure time or coach category when requested at least 12 hours before departure and when space is available.
A change can also alter the fare. If the new journey costs more, the difference may be due even where a ticket is eligible for modification.
What happens if I arrive after CTM luggage check-in closes?
Do not rely on being able to add checked luggage at the last minute. CTM states that baggage service should be purchased no later than 30 minutes before departure.
If you have a suitcase for the hold, plan your arrival around the luggage deadline—not only around the coach departure time.
What happens if the coach is delayed because of weather, traffic or a road problem?
CTM states that services can be delayed, cancelled or changed because of circumstances outside its control, including traffic, weather, accidents, road diversions, strikes and safety concerns.
When that happens, CTM may move the journey without a fee, but do not plan on reimbursement for a missed flight, train, hotel, taxi or other onward cost.
Should I book a CTM bus to an airport on the same day as my flight?
Only if you leave a wide safety margin. A city coach, the final airport transfer, traffic and baggage handling can all affect the arrival time.
For an international flight or an important connection, arriving in the airport city the day before is the lower-risk choice.
Can I use a CTM bus for a ferry connection at Tangier Med?
Check the exact destination shown when booking. Tangier city, Tangier Med port and the CTM station are different places and should not be treated as interchangeable.
If a ferry is fixed, leave a large buffer and confirm the terminal and check-in deadline directly with the ferry operator before booking the coach.
Does CTM take me directly to my hotel, surf camp or desert camp?
No. A CTM ticket covers the coach journey between the stated boarding and arrival points unless your booking explicitly includes another transfer.
Taghazout, Tamraght, medina riads, desert camps and remote guesthouses usually require a separate final transfer. Confirm that final step before leaving the departure city.
How do I avoid going to the wrong CTM station?
Open the exact map pin in your booking confirmation the evening before travel. Do not search only for “bus station,” because Morocco’s larger cities can have separate CTM agencies, municipal terminals, train stations and airport points.
In Marrakech, Tangier, Casablanca, Agadir and Fes, the station name matters as much as the city name.
What should I do during a CTM rest stop?
Listen for the driver’s return time, keep your valuables with you and return to the coach before the stated departure.
CTM’s terms say the coach can leave if a passenger does not respect the stop duration. Treat a rest stop as a short break, not an open-ended meal stop.
Can I rely on Wi-Fi, USB charging or a toilet on every CTM bus?
No. Facilities can differ by coach type and the individual service. Check the details shown for the departure you select rather than assuming every coach has the same equipment.
For a long trip, travel with a charged phone, offline ticket confirmation, water and a backup power bank.
What is the safest way to plan a CTM bus journey with large luggage?
Choose a departure that leaves time to reach the correct station and complete luggage check-in at least 30 minutes before the coach departs.
Keep the baggage receipt, use a visible label on your suitcase and keep essentials with you. At arrival, collect the bag before leaving the station for a taxi or hotel transfer.
